VTG 50s Alligator All-Weather Coats Figural Table Lamp Rainwear Advertising RARE
Vintage 1950s Alligator All-Weather Coats Figural Table Lamp, Mid-Century Rainwear Advertising, Collectible Lighting and Lamps, VG+, RARE Delightful working lamp advertising rainwear from the Alligator Rainwear Company. We found this rare 1950s gem at an estate sale of a local antiques dealer. Our friendly alligator stands 18 1/4″ tall to the socket and is 10 3/8″ long x 4 1/2 wide at the base. He is made of plaster and is in very good vintage condition. Bright painted colors are paired with a detailed texture, as displayed by the “wood grain” pedestal and the “scales” on our friend, who has smiling glass eyes. Occasional small chip flakes are noted on the lamp, the largest measuring 3/8″x1/4″ and located at the lower left corner of the pedestal. Gray felt base with some partial peeling along the left side. The era-correct unpolarized plug and cord together measure slightly over 7 feet and are in exceptional condition, without any cracking or exposed wire. Total weight 6 1/2 lbs.
