Vtg 70s Paul Mayen Globe Table Lamp Light Mid Century Modern Atomic Retro Rare. Vintage 70s Paul Mayen Table Lamp! -Super rare from the 70s, this lamp screams mid century! -Lamp has a thick acrylic sphere/orb shade that is held to the lamp with 3 chrome spikes that go through the orb and screw in to the lamp base -Travertine stone base, chrome tube, hanging chrome pull on/off switch (hangs from a chain inside the orb) -The orb can also tilt! The light mechanism along with the orb can be tilted if desired, shown in the fourth photo. The lamp is not signed but our research tells us this may have been designed by Paul Mayen, he also made a similar floor lamp. In working condition, the electrical cord is a old one but is working fine. Takes a standard size light bulb. The lamp stands at about 25 tall. The orb has a circumference of 37″ and a diameter of about 12″. The base measures just shy of 5.25 square. The lamp all together weighs just under 8 lbs. Overall the lamp is in very good condition. The orb shade has a yellow tint to it and on top a stronger yellow color which may be from use with light bulbs back in the day getting so hot. The shade also has some very tiny fine speckles on the top only. The travertine base has an irregular corner which may have been chipped or that could be just the nature of the travertine. Vintage Pair MCM Lamps Bubble Beehive Tripod Atomic WORK
This listing is for a beautiful pair of MCM table lamps and their shades. They are in very good shape for their age but one shade has a few minor cracks as shown in the photos (only visible when the light is on but can be turned to the back, if there are any cracks in the other one, they weren’t visible by me) there are some spots of rust and the legs could use some conditioning (they appear to be real wood). When turned on, the seams at the top, appear slightly darker than the rest of the shade but I assume that is because the plastic is slightly thicker. I also noticed and photographed what I think is a scratch and not a crack at the top of the shade. I have not thoroughly cleaned any part of these lamps. They are in working condition, however. The cords are brittle and should be replaced before regular use. Light bulbs are not included. I don’t know if one of the cords has been changed or not but as you can see, the ends are not identical. All measurements are shown in photos but the full height is not quite 16 in and the widest part is not quite 6 in. I believe I’ve mentioned everything I’ve noticed but I’m not infallible so PLEASE judge for yourself. Please ask any questions you may have, prior to purchasing or making an offer.
