Pair of Vintage Mid Century Modern Tension Pole Lamp Tables Glass Globes MCM
Offered for sale is this nice original pair of vintage mid century tension lamp tables. Each has 2 hanging 11 amber/cream glass globes that are smooth on the outside and have a textured quilt pattern in the inside.. The metal parts of the pole and fittings are wood and brass toned. The tables are laminate. The curved wooden pirces have stickers that say AMERICAN WALNUT. The switch is 3 way, you light one, two or all three lights at once. The lamps works great, wiring is in good condition. Table tops are very good. The pole sections have some light tarnish/scratches from age. The top on one lamp is missing a plastic cover where the tension rod comes out, you cant really see it and the tension still works fine. There is also a missing rivet on one of the wood pieces that has been replaced by a screw. The lights themselves still look great. I can take some pictures to assist in that, but you will need to be capable of putting the pieces back together please. Lease see my photos for more on condition. Vtg Retro 3 Light Fixture Tension Pole Lamp Table For 7 Ft Ceilings. This is an elegant survivor of the Retro/MCM era. Tension pole lamp is a Taupe with brass color with a walnut stained color table. Table is removable if needed. Three adjustable sconces with the pinhole design make this lamp pop!! This lamp has twist knobs on each light shade to turn on/off each light. Light takes standard size lightbulbs with a 60 watt maximum. I reccomend the newer bulbs that don’t get hot, as the metal on each shade does heat up. This tension pole lamp is secured between your ceiling and floor. Easy installation and you can move it where ever you may like it as long as you have 7 foot ceilings or as seen in my photos a fireplace. You can also use a block, step, stairs, ect. To make up the height difference. This tension pole lamp is super cool lit and unlit. Tension pole and lights are in nice vintage used condition! VTG MCM room divider shelf table pole floor lamp 50′s 60′s majestic space age
PLEASE NOTE – The round larger glass globes are not included with this unit – They are just for the pics. The original globes are shown in the last few pics. You will need to be handy to re-assemble it. Small bit of bow to bottom shelf – rather unavoidable with a piece like this – but overall it is still quite stable. The last few pics show the original more ornate pear shaped globes that are original to the unit. They have a couple flea bite nicks on the edges but are still very presentable. Currently has single position switch which turns all 3 lights on at once. You could easily rewire with a 3 way switch. All wiring is new. Shelf is vintage and has some scuffs and nicks but is overall in very nice vintage unrestored condition. Base shelf is 36 x 12. Vintage Mid Century 4-Color Floor To Ceiling Pole Light Red Yellow Green Blue
This has a three way switch to light up the top or bottom pairs or all four globes. The globes are excellent condition, no damage, just a little dusty. The tension rod section is missing the guts, so there is NO tension, the pole is 81 tall with no tension. You could simply stack books under it to get it to the correct height for your application. The gold section looks like an old repaint and there is one acorn nut missing where the wood connects to metal(photo10). I did not try to clean or polish anything, you are getting it exactly as I found it. The light does break down to sections as shown in some of the photos. The light is in working order but as with any old lamp it is always recommended to have it checked out by a qualified electrician before using it. I have a couple other mid century lights from the same house in my other listings. I included (12) photos, please ask any specific questions if the photos dont show what you need. But I suppose the center section could go unused if you need it alot shorter. VTG 60s MOE TENSION POLE FLOOR LAMP side tile table mid century modern light
Beautiful example of American craftsmanship. Large tension pole lamp with integrated ceramic inlaid table designed made by Moe Light , Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin (a division of Thomas Industries). Bullet lamp heads are wire with cord wrap and black cap. Three position roller switch allows for different lighting configurations (see photos). Very good condition with only minimal paint loss. One area in middle of brass section with some scratches. Clean for its age. Table approx 14 diameter. Pole approx 8′ 8 fully extended. Can be compressed to under 8′. Lamp works; however, as with all vintage items, we recommend having lamp professionally inspected to ensure safe operation. Light bulbs not included.
