Gorgeous mid-century lattice ceramic penguin lamps. The gorgeous penguin sculptures are a perfect balance of representation and abstract simplicity, with the green color adding a bit of whimsy. You will not find other lamps like this, I have looked. MINOR FLAWS: The right foot of both penguins is cracked, it is not noticeable on first glance. The tail of one of the penguins has a firing flaw leaving a very small white spot. Please see pictures for more details. One of the statues is slightly off center from the base, this is probably easily correctable by peeling back the felt at the bottom and adjusting it. Vintage 20 D, 10H 12 panel slag glass lamp shade only w detailed scrolling
Vintage 20″D, 10″ H, 12 slag glass panels with two distinct color schemes. The lower section features retangular panels that are blue W white highlights, and the main curved glass section has green panels with brown and white highlights. The metal pattern is elaborate, quite detailed, and reminds one of a tropical setting. The pattern repeats itself on each 2 part panel for a total of 6 identical sections. The shade is in excellent condition with no damaged slag glass panels, no discernable damage or missing metal scroll work and the only damage is a small hole in one top border(see photo). At some point additional weld material was added to reinforce the bottom joints where each section is welded together. Even so there is still minor gaps between several of the seams.
