Large Antique Art Nouveau Figural Woman Newel Post Table Lamp L Delavigne France
Large figural cast spelter metal Art Nouveau lamp, 27″ tall overall, figure alone stands 15″. Base is stamped FRANCE and the name of the sculptor L DELAVIGNE is cast into the base of the figure. The figure is barefoot and wears a flowing dress with a ribbon sash at the waist. She holds a flower in the hand of her outstretched arm and holds a shallow woven basket in her other hand. No fingers broken or missing and she has a very pretty and nicely detailed face. The three lamp sockets extend from the centers of tall iris flowers. The lamp works fine and has a toggle switch on the electrical cord- cord is not original. There is no bottom on the lamp base and there are small holes on the side of the base where the lamp could be attached securely to a newel post. A century of dusting has worn the original surface, time has darkened the metallic finishes used. There is some slight surface corrosion to the metal. Large Vintage Mid Century Oriental/Asian Man Woman Chalkware Table Lamps/Shades
Large Pair Vintage Asian Man & Woman Table Lamps w/Shades. They were made out of chalkware and hand painted probably in the late’40s to’50s. They show their age, but have been touched up in places with none of those nasty white chips so common with vintage chalkware to be seen (one has a hairline crack in the back). Both have their original wiring and work. Cords are pliable with no cracks. They are totally safe to use (I have been using them for the past ten years and have had no problems). New felt has been placed on the bottoms so not to scratch your furniture. The fabulous original vintage shades have no tears, holes or stains and are trimmed in a gold fringe. They are topped with original brass finials. They are tall measuring 33 1/2 inches tall from top of finial to bottom of the base. Shades are 24 inches round. They display beautifully and are wonderful when lit. Perfect for that retro Mid-Century look. Please read descriptions carefully, as I try to be as thorough and up-front as possible.
