Large Vintage Modern Bauhaus Style Table Lamp
Here we have an out of the ordinary, sumptuous table / desk lamp. A modern design with a nod to the Bauhaus movement of the 1920′s & 30′s. Many of the individual parts are hand cast aluminium components including the dome shade, base, finial cap, flared cone and stem rings, which have then been hand polished for that individual look of pure quality. None of the parts have been plated, as we believe polished aluminium has a softer and deeper finish, and is less harsh and shiny than say nickel plating. A timeless design that would grace any interior and be a real talking point. 300mm wide x 500mm tall and weighs 3.5kg. 2m cable with a standard UK 3 pin 5amp plug and a on / off switch 300mm away from the lamp base. The top works perfect with a standard house bulb… You can even use CFL or LED bulbs. IT HAS A BUILT IN NIGHT LITE, SO THERE ARE 4 LIGHT SETTINGS. (both off, both on, top on, and bottom on) (bulbs included). Absolutely no cracks or chips in the glass parts. The brass pieces have little wear. The cord is new and has been rewired, the socket are in good shape with no shorts. The paint is in great shape with very little signs of age. It was taken very good care of! Wonderful single piece of Blown glass mushroom lamp, possibly Murano, as most of this shape and style are. Gold Band with Green Fading stripe. Has a wonderful glow when lit. On/ Off Switch on the cord. Very nice Mid Century Lighting. It will be well packed and insured for safe transit. CONDITION : Please review photos for the best idea of condition. Has a manufacturing defect of a line on the outside. Does not appear to be a crack. Can be felt with fingernail on the outside, but not on the inside. Tiny fleabite chip on inside edge of top ground opening. Some light wear to the gold band. Could use a gentle cleaning on the outside. MEASUREMENTS : Overall 15″ tall and 12″ wide. Vintage Large MCM Danish Modern Eames? Walnut Table Lamp (3 way socket). 33.5 to top of socket. 42 to top of harp. 11.5 across body. Pre-owned and working perfectly. Original cord seems to be in good/safe repair. Great vintage piece in better than expected condition showing only minor signs of use, wear or age except for one leg which is broken/repaired in 3 places (see pictures). Can be better repaired by the new owner or just left alone. No bulb or shade included. 3-way bulb used for testing was a 50-100-150. Other bulbs will work but not correctly. The damaged leg is best seen in the picture with red arrows highlighting the repairs. Perfect for any mid century / Danish modern setting! Would look great with the right fiberglass shade.
