THIS IS READY TO USE WITH YOUR PERIOD SHADE. REPLACING THE CORD WITH A NEW CLOTH CORD WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. I HAVE TESTED THE SOCKET AND CORD WITH A LIGHT BULB AND BOTH WORK FLAWLESSLY. THIS APPEARS TO BE BRONZE AND DOES NOT STICK TO A MAGNET. IT IS VERY WELL CAST, SOLID AND HEAVY. I WOULD KEEP THIS MYSELF BUT I DON’T HAVE A SHADE THAT WOULD DO IT JUSTICE. Vintage Magic Mushroom Coral Table Lamp with Burl Wood Tree Base Authentic
Super funky Authentic Magic Mushroom from the Lamp Company, Los Angeles CA dated 1988 on bottom. There is one large’cap’ which is the shade, that is 9 inches wide in diameter, and there are 2 much smaller caps. I’m not sure what these caps are made from but they are very detailed as you can see in the pictures. Overall dimensions of the lamp are approximately 10 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall. The shade appears to tilt slightly to one side on the bulb, but I do believe this can be fixed with a different bulb or tightening the metal grips on the shade itself. I did not try to fix this as it is fine how it is and I did not want to damage anything. (See picture 4 specifically). There doesn’t appear to be any cracks or chips and is in overall great condition.
