2 Antique c1920s Art Deco Cast Metal Parrot Table Lamp Bird Cage Shade As Is
HERE WE HAVE: Two antique table lamps! These seem to be c1920s or possibly 1930s. Each lamp is a cast metal magnetic, so iron? Bird which appears to be a parrot! Very art deco in style with a vaseline glass ball at the center of the base (reacts to black light). One lamp has a bird cage shaped shade, which looks to be brass. The other lamp is missing its shade/socket. The one is missing its bird cage shade/bulb socket and has no wiring. The other one has wiring but it’s in rough condition. There is tarnish, surface corrosion, scuffs/scratches and color loss scattered throughout. Bird cage shade is a bit misshapen with bends/dents to the wire edges. Some paint splatter to the cage-less lamp. Glass ball pieces have dark pitted spots, not sure if from production or not. MEASUREMENTS: Each lamp measures approximately 15 1/4 tall. Petie finds a lovely GREENIE lamp! A Standing FRANKART NYMPH with Up stretched arms TABLE LAMP in GREEN with a Frosted Glass Globe. The lamp is finished in a gloss GREEN finish, the Nymph is an Aluminum metal casting. A hard to find lamp, this one is a later casting, from the 1970′s, from the original mold. One of the glass globe’s from below. C Frosted Cobalt Blue. The lamp works on a 120 volt, light bulb up to 25 watts & has an on/off switch on the cord. Amber Glass Metal 3-way Table Lamps Pair Vintage Mid Century Hollywood Regency
Pair Vintage Amber Glass and Metal 3-way switched Table Lamps Midcentury Hollywood Regency. Tested and in good working condition, no lampshades included. Amber glass and cast metal construction. This design does not have lights inside the amber globes. Finial screws are generic and of different heights. There is some difference in the sheen/patina of the metal between the two lamps see photos. There are flaws to one lamp as follows. Lamp appears to have been dropped and there is a piece, or “foot” broken away from the metal base. The original cord has been replaced with a more modern cord the lighter-colored one seen in photos. There is a piece of the flat disc of the base broken away that can be seen when the lamp is disassembled, which is covered with a tin disc as seen in photos. Pro tip: just turn the broken foot toward the wall, and you have a great pair of vintage lamps for a great price. As with all vintage electrical devices, it is recommended to have it inspected and/or repaired by a qualified electrician. I will do my very best to resolve issues right away.
