Up for sale is a large vintage hand carved wood and brass Mid Century Modern electric table lamp. This lovely lamp features a trim-hand carved wooden body with a brass shaft running through the center and is mounted to a skirted wooden base. The lamp holds a generic sized bulb and finished with a brass lamp harp. It is In good condition and measures 33 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide.

Antique Walnut Hand Carved Owl table lamp-Circa 1930s (1 of-a-kind)
Antique Walnut Hand Carved Owl table lamp–Circa 1930s (1 of-a-kind). This is a one of a kind lamp carving done by a family member of a Minnesota family in the early 1930s. The fabric insulated cord is period, but it appears the top fixture had been updated years later from the original porcelain. The lamp measures: 15″ tall and the base is 7″ including the fixture. The base was carved separate from the owl and is attached with 3- 10D nails. The coloring and stain is original and has only had a touch-up. There is slight fraying where the cord enters the base, but no short and the toggle switch operates crisp, turning the current on and off with no problems. You may decide to replace the cord, but I find the cloth insulators are sturdy and add to originality. The glass shade in 1st picture is NOT included; nor is the bulb and were employed to illustrate functionality. There are so many shade possibilities and I will leave it to your taste/imagination. This lamp will be amazing in your classy man-cave/she-shed or cabin and will garner attention from visitors. Don’t wait, or if you see it again, someone else will have it..
