Vintage Alabaster Column Pillar Tall Table Lamp Neoclassical Italian Marble
A circa 1950s-60s Italian carved alabaster neo classical style pillar lamp on working order. The lamp base measures about 24″ and 34″ to the tip of the finial. At some point in its life this lamp took a fall which resulted in a few nicks around the scrolls and a repair to the base. Because of the veining and the nature of the stone, these marks are not at all obvious unless one scrutinizes for flaws. The cord is original and sound but one may want to have it replaced. A stunning example of mid-century Italian craftsmanship. This solid alabaster lamp features a classic urn shape with intricate hand-carved leaf detailing. Because it is carved from natural stone, it features unique marble-like veining and a beautiful translucency when placed near light. Details: Authenticity: Hand-etched “Made in Italy” on the bottom of the base. Construction: Very heavy, solid stone construction. As a vintage natural stone piece, there are some minor “flea bite” chips on the sharp edges of the carvings and slight discoloration/patina on the cord and socket consistent with age (see photos). These do not detract from its structural integrity or overall beauty. Note: Lamp shade and bulb not included.

2 Beautiful lamps -mid century Italian Alabaster- Rewired And Ready To Go
I just loved the look of these mid century lamps. Rewired with nice cloth cord to match the color of orginal.. A few micro chips at the top of the finals from wear over years but nothing crazy! I replaced the felt also and underneath was marked ” made in Italy”. I even redid the felt bottoms and matched the color with some old material I had. These are great top to bottom! I do believe these were hand carved because one is a little different than the other but very small differences that would be to the hand and eye. These are all original and noticed the one base has bevel and the other doesn’t. Not sure just loved them. 3 7/8 base x.
