Victorian Crescent Moon Lamp Shade &Art Nouveau Base HAND SEWN Beaded Fringe vtg
Here is a stunning Victorian style, crescent moon-shaped lamp shade on an antique, Art Nouveau lamp base. I made this lamp shade by hand. It was made with emerald green satin fabric and fine netting with embroidery and beads. It has purple fringe as well as green and pale pink triangular/crescent moon-shaped beaded fringe and long strands of beads at either end. It has lilac and gold trim, as well as antique gold metal trim with thin ribbons weaved through. Pain staking detail and many hours of work have gone into creating this one of a kind lamp shade. It is hand sewn; each layer of fabric/lace is individually sewn on, as well as each layer of fringe. The shade measures just over 10 wide. It’s the perfect size for a table or boudoir lamp. Squatty lusterous “Tigers Eye” seamless blown glass (Tigers eye is a golden-brown semiprecious variety of quartz with a silky or chatoyant luster). Amazing and monumental Hollywood Regency beauty designed around incredible reverse painted Murano style glass. Glass is reverse sculpted with curvilinear ribbing on the inside only and has a smooth surface. Exaggerated squatty blown glass body is very sexy. Castings with so much detail and drip with luscious antiquing finish. Thick tassels are ochre with gold banding. RECENTLY REWIRED FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE ENJOYMENT! Antique Signed Handel Floral Leaded Glass Lamp Shade & Bronze Base
ANTIQUE SIGNED HANDEL FLORAL LEADED GLASS LAMP SHADE & BRONZE BASE. This listing is for an antique, authentic signed Handel floral leaded glass lamp shade with bronze base. The leaded glass shade features an amazing array of colorful small floral blossoms in shades of pink, peach, yellow, orange, etc. Against a background of small multiple shades of green glass leaves. Inside the shade is the original wire loop for hanging the price tag with signature nearby. There are a couple of pieces of glass with stress cracks, but firmly in place. The shade is in very good condition as seen in photos, top opening has a diameter of 3-5/8, measures approx. 7 tall with a bottom diameter of approx. The lower edge of the shade features a saw-tooth style edging. Included is a lovely bronze lamp base (I also believe this to be a Handel missing its bottom felt signature pad). The base features a ribbed border edge with a circular wreath with berry accents. The inside center of the base has curved panels all around, base diameter is approx. The lower shaft of the lamp base features a tapered stem with ribbed panels and a flared upper neck that extends to a simple shaft to the sockets. There are 2 lamp sockets, each has a long chain pull with acorn on the end approx. 8 1/2 on both. On the top of the lamp base is a brass cap which fits nicely into the shade and also included is a brass screw-on finial top. The shade lifts off the dome center support. The wire is very stiff, probably not original and would advise to have it replaced. Both pull switches work. End of cord has a hard rubber plug. Overall the lamp shade and base measures approx. Please pay close attention to photos for best description of condition, thank you. Our photos are part of the description.
