Incredibly RARE – 35 inch MAJESTIC atomic space lamp. What more can you say about New York’s Majestic Lamp and Clock Company? In the rarefied niche of rather surreal Mid Century American lamp companies, Majestic produced some of the most provocative and memorable lamps ever seen. Not to mention highly coveted. Lamps with’big personalities’ and other-worldly spacey and sculptural designs. More timeless than some of the awkward lamps. By Moss or Reglor, which often are relegated to the’kitsch’ category. It seems as if Majestic clearly scoffed at the Miesian notion of’Less Is More’. I think it’s fairly safe to say; more people can identify the iconic Majestic. Z Lamp’ over George Nelson’s minimalist’1/2 Nelson’ lamp. Some of Majestic’s lamps fall into the category of functional art. This rarity fits that bill. At roughly 35 inches tall, this lamp could double as a table lamp as well as a floor accent lamp. The EIGHT whip-stiched fiberglass’leaves’ have no rips or tears. Off-white with an exquisite black and gold abstract pattern. Some patina on brass. Some minor paint loss near the top of the black metal orb. This lamp is probably 60 years old. The brass pods hold 4 starburst bulbs (new Westinghouse starburst bulbs will be included). Lower socket takes normal sized bulb. The switch on the black orb, turns on the uppers, the lower, or both. 1 RARITY AND BEAUTY. Will never be produced again and I appreciate their rarity. I never sell “Frankenstein” lamps odd pieces slapped together, slathered in new paint (oddly enough usually fire engine red) and passed off as having an exotic (usually Italian, or Gino Sarfatti) origin. PAIR 40′s Vtg Atomic Age Lumitone Bakelite Radio Table Lamp Mid Century Modern
This is a rare pair of beautiful signed Lumitone lamp radios. They are both in very similar condition with mild general wear and no breaks or cracks. They measure 27 to the top of the finials. They have been rewired and the three way sockets work. The radio switches and dials both work but the radios do not turn on in either of them. The speakers and radio chassis are inside but have not been tested. Bulbs are not included. Vintage Mid-Century Modern Flying Saucer UFO Atomic Age Desk or Table Lamp
Id-century modern Flying Saucer UFO Atomic Age desk or table lamp. Wheeler Sight Light shades. The vintage lamp is 16 tall, the shade 13 in diameter and the base 6-1/2 in diameter. The original paint finish is in good condition for its age and use though it has a few scratches and wear on the base and top and underside of the shade (see photos). The lamp has the original cord and wiring and is in very good working condition. The shade fits easily into the upper area where the light bulb is housed. A 40 watt CFL or LED light bulb is recommended to prevent the shade from becoming too hot (not included). This is a beautiful vintage lamp from the atomic era. UFO Flying Saucer lamps. Pair Vintage Atomic Mid Century Modern 1950′s Lamps w. Two Tier Fiberglass Shades
These black ceramic and wire lamps would make a striking addition to your Mid Century Modern home. They measure 28 to the top of the shade. The ceramic base is 6 square. The shades are 17″ in diameter on the bottom tier and 14″ on the top tier. The height of the shade is 8. The shades have been cleaned and relaced with supple new vinyl lacing and the lamps rewired. The shades have a couple of areas with light brown spotting which are fairly well camouflaged by the black spatter design. I felt the need to include them in the description and pictures so there are no surprises when you receive them. One lamp and shade per box. Vintage Mid Century Modern Saturn Table Lamp Art Deco MCM Atomic Works Great
The lamp is in great shape for its age and works perfectly. It is one of the coolest Saturn lamps I have ever seen. Please look carefully at the pictures as there is one dent in the base under the Saturn and a small crack at the bottom of the base.
