Vintage MCM Danish Modern Mid Century Walnut or Teak Huge Table Lamp Light
ITEM – Vintage MCM Danish Modern Mid Century Huge Table Lamp Light. Not sure if wood is teak, walnut or what, guessing walnut tho. Lamp is larger than what appears in photo, it is wide, please check measurements below. Measures 16″ across/deep x 37 7/8″ high to harp. Condition – Appearance wise it’s in very good shape for as old as it is. One small scratch, a few marks on the top of base (stripe like marks, I’ve posted photo, but not scratches). A few small pindot marks and scuffs on the gold metal, but nothing major. The harp shows darkening, but this part is replaceable. The pole needs to be tightened a little, there is a screw nut bolt on the bottom that tightens it, easy fix And last, the switch needs to be tightened or fixed or something, it takes 4 turns to turn it on, not sure if it’s for a dimmer type bulb, but works great after 4 turns. Overall, very good shape, I’ve used it for years, took care of it, dusted and polished it regularly, but moved changed decor. Thank you for viewing my listing. This pair of truly vintage lamp bases are in beautiful overall condition with no obvious marks or damage considering age (approx 2004). They have a column base which is 10 cms square and the twisted design effect on the glass stem has a centre nickel core and measure 39 cms in height to the top of the lamp holder. I have pictured alongside a standard wine bottle (not included) to give an indication of size. Each base weighs just over 1 kg. These will be carefully packed and insured for posting.
