Vintage MCM Murano Swirl Mushroom Glass Lamp Italian Art Glass Wood Base 10 1/2. This wonderful mid-century modern lamp was produced in Murano Italy probably by Vetri and features a creamy white swirl design in a muchroom shape with a wood electric base. Has a brown cord and an inline swich on cord to turn on and off. Just wonderful and ready to use. Measurements are 10 1/2 tall to top of shade and aprox. 9 wide at widest part. 5 1/2 in diameter. The shade itself measures 9 tall. Excellent preowned condition with minor age appropriate wear. It appears the wood base has been recently painted and it has a dark pewter/black hammered look to it. Fine as shown, however as with all vintage lighting, it should be rechecked out by a licensed electrician. Really a wonderful MCM era mushroom lamp. Please look at the photos carefully as they are an important part of my description. Most of my pictures are taken with a magnifying lens giving me clear, close up photos. This tends to also magnify minor flaws on item which many times cannot be seen on actual item. I strive to describe all of my items as accurately and honestly as possible however as. VTG VENINI MUSHROOM MURANO FOR LAUREL GLASS LAMP MCM WHITE SWIRL OPAQUE 60s 70s
This is a Small and Rare Mid Century Modern Venini blown glass lamp. GLASS: The glass is attractive with or without the light on. Importantly, the type of ambient lighting that you get will depend on the kind of bulb you use. Bulb size is a standard USA household light socket in the base. A few pictures have a 40w WHITE bulb to show a Full Moon White light effect. On a few other pictures, you can see the different lighting affects when I changed the bulb to a CLEAR iridized, flame-point bulb. Striations in blown glass are revealed when the light is turned on. When the lamp is not on, the glass is an Opaque White. Many possibilities for UTILITY of this lamp due to size and because it is single piece of white, blown glass. It is a small, bulbous lamp that will go anywhere and compliment larger / other MCM lamps and decor. MEASUREMENTS: HEIGHT is 9 TALL Top down to Table surface. MOUTH is 4-1/4″ across opening top and has a 13″ circumference. Widest part AROUND the MUSHROOM RIM is 25 circumference. ROUND BALL BASE is 15 circumference ball. Bulb is inserted at the top down to the socket base. It has the on/off line switch on a white cord. CONDITION: There are no issues with the glass or the electrical. Vintage Hurricane Table Lamp Matched Set Pair Pink Cranberry Swirl Glass Painted. Lovely, very unusual set of pink/cranberry glass hurricane lamps. The COLOR is the hero here folks. Very rare to find a matched set /pair. They are painted / with translucent paint, so the light can shine through. They have gold tone hardware that does have some discolor. Both have been tested and work great. The retain their original plugs and switches. Pink glass part has scratches/ paint loss on both lamps as expected from age/use. One also is slightly askewed. The lamps measure approximately 17.75 tall. I can just imagine this sitting in a historical cottage surrounded by lace, linen & quilts. It could also be fabulous in a shabby chic bedroom!
