Arts & Crafts Antique Vintage Mica Table Desk Lamp Nautical Sailing Ship, 1920
Nice heavy antique table lamp with mica shade, nautical theme, circa 1920s. The lamp over all has a beautiful form and design and retains it’s original verdigris green patina. It measures 22″ to the top of the finial and the base is 8″ long x 4 1/2 wide. The mica shade measures 14″ long x 9 1/2″ high x 8″ wide & the top 6 1/2″ long x 5 1/2 wide. The lamp is in excellent working condition with no damage or repairs. The lamp has been rewired and has a new protective base felt. A very solid piece weighing close to 10 pounds.. Vintage reproduction of an antique Mission / Arts & Crafts table lamp – this is an electric designer table lamp by The Mica Lamp Company This lovely lamp is from the Coppersmith Collection; structure made of solid copper and assembled with hand-driven copper rivets and having a rich natural patina Shade is constructed of mineral mica flakes combined with organic shellac; absolutely gorgeous coloring These are the same natural materials that were made by the Arts & Crafts master lampmakers, but this is a vintage reproduction (as are all made by the Mical Lamp Company) Both shade and base bear the maker’s signature name plate. The structure has a riveted three-arm framework and a single socket bulbous base with a four-panel flaring shade. A Clear Stamped Makers Mark is on the Underside Old Mission KopperKraft San Francisco. This fine OLD MISSION KOPPERKRAFT hammered copper table lamp with its flaring three-panel mica shade, bulbous base and riveted trim would be the perfect addition to ANY antique collection! Here is a fantastic old ARTS & CRAFTS ERA ” MICA ” floor lamp shade in really nice original condition. (guess it could also be used on a table lamp w appropriate proportion). I think the top & bottom of the shade ornamentation is most likely made of gesso , but it might also be wood. These pieces are in excellent condition and surely enhance the wonderful appearance of the shade. The shade is made of four pieces of mica which are covered with a paper covering where they are put together. Measurements: bottom 20″ diameter; top 14″ diameter; 10 tall.
