KAISER LEUCHTEN 6878 Table Lamp KLAUS HEMPEL Vintage Bauhaus Eames 60s 70s Era
Table lamp model 6878 designed by Klaus Hempel and manufactured by Kaiser Leuchten, Germany. Rectangular shade is made of aluminium lacquered burgundy. It has been painted white on the inside for light reflection. There are two bulb sockets made on plastic. The stem is made of flat chromed steel tube with pivot joints attaching the shade and the base. The heavy base is made of cast iron lacquered charcoal grey presents a decorative white rectangular steel plate. The original switch is on the cord. The lamp can be folded flat. The lamp is in very good condition and in full working order. Light scratches to the top surface of the shade (please see picture). The lamp takes two e14 bulbs. This lamp can be used with 110-230v supplies. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects.
