Awesome, vintage lamp – marked: Houze X Glass, Point Marion PA. Probably from the 30′s or 40′s. This is a beautiful lamp in great vintage condition. As you can see from photos, it works. Check out the plug on the cord! Chain pull for on/off works fine. Fabric covered cord and plug are good. The shade is a heavy plastic, has a nice shape. Its got sort of a satin finish. There is some fading on the inside on the shade but its fine on the outside. I’m not sure if it’s original to the lamp, but that’s the way I bought it. Takes a standard size bulb, not included. What you see is what you get. 13 tall TO TOP OF SOCKET 17-1/4. ” to TOP with shade on – x base is 4-1/2″ across. Shade is 6″ tall x 8″ across the bottom and 4-1/2 across the top. Antique Art Deco Jadeite Uranium Slag Vaseline Houze Akro Agate Glass Lamp
Magnificent Large Art-Deco Bridge Style Table Lamp. This piece is absolutely one of a kind – I know this because I created it from the best parts of about half a dozen table and floor lamps. Kind of a “Frankenlamp”. Ornate cast iron base. The decorative glass pieces are a type of Jadeite Houze glass and yellow Vaseline Uranium glass. The yellow pieces do glow under a black light. All metal pieces, cast iron and brass, have been refinished in an oil rubbed bronze quality paint with a light clear coat. The lamp has been completely rewired with a cloth covered cord appropriate to the period. The socket shell is vintage with a new 3 way switch inside (yes they do make 3 way led bulbs). The stepped jade color base makes this piece stand out. This piece makes a real statement standing at 38 inches tall. The shade shown in a couple of the pictures is shown as an example only and is not included. It is better that the new owner chooses a shade to make it truly their own. Authentic Antique 1939 World’s Fair Collectible Saturn Lamp Houze Glass Works
Authentic 1939 World’s Fair Pink Saturn Lamp by Houze Glass Works. There is some chipping around the bottom lip of the planet Saturn and a crack as shown in the photos. The damage was caused long ago by someone changing the bulb and not seating the top globe portion correctly. It looks and displays wonderfully even still as the crack is in the back when on display. The original lamp socket, switch, and cord are still intact and functioning. We are offering this rare lamp example at a discount due to the minor condition issues.
