Vintage Art Pop Art Deco Balloon Lamp
Large plastic table lamp in the form of a balloon, this one can be used as wall-ceiling light as well as table lamp because of the metal plate in the bottom fixture so the lamp will also stand on his own. It gives a very beautiful soft light. It is perfect for a children’s bedroom, but is also a great and original lamp for a side table, because creates a warm atmosphere. 16 inches long x 11 inches tall. Normally these lamps are from bilumen but this one says “made in Taiwan” on the bottom. If you unscrew the bulb holder the metal plate can easily be removed, for example if you want to use this lamp as a ceiling or wall lamp. It’s missing the small ball and string that normally would hang from the “tied” end of the balloon. Otherwise in good condition, some minor scratches due to its age and use. THIS EXTREMELY RARE AND AMAZING LAMP IS FROM AN EDITION CREATED BY DEMETER DURING THE 1980′S ON THE OCCASION OF AN EXHIBITION AT THE DECORATIVE ARTS MUSEUM IN PARIS. THIS REISSUE WAS MADE IN EXTREMELY LIMITED QUANTITIES AND RETAILED IN THE THOUSANDS. IT IS VERY COLLECTIBLE. LAMP MEASURES 4.7 INCHES X 4.7 INCHES SQUARE BY 5.75 INCHES TALL. THE BASE AND SQUARE TOP ARE CHROME. THE LOUVERED SHADE CONSISTS OF 7 ALMOST 1/4 INCH THICK GLASS PLATES. THERE ARE NO CHIPS, DENTS OR DETRACTING SCRATCHES. THE LAMP IS TRULY IN PHENOMENAL COSMETIC CONDITION. THE ELECTRICAL CORD WAS CUT AS IT WAS ALWAYS DISPLAYED INSIDE A GLASS CASE AND HAS NEVER BEEN PLUGGED IN BY ME.
