Art Deco Saucer Lamp Sight Lightleroy C. Doane-look
Here for sale is a Art Deco lamp by Leroy C. Doane for Sight Light Corp. The lamp is in good condition with scratches in various places notably the top of the shade. The lamp is in working condition and the end plug has been replaced. There is browning to the paper sleeve surrounding the light fixture socket from years of heat. We have replaced the bulb with an LED version. This should be used going forward so the socket fixture does not heat up. Please ask questions before purchasing. VTG MERCOLITE Machine Age Deco Mercury Lamp c. 1930 RESTORED and CONVERTED
Offered here is a rare lamp of extreme machine age design. Manufactured in the 1930′s, this Mercolite lamp was originally a mercury vapor heat lamp. It has been professionally converted to accept a standard medium Edison base light bulb, and operates as a lamp only. The copper reflective shade provides a warm light, highlighting the streamlined base. The shade portion pivots up and down by way of a wingnut joint. This lamp is in excellent working order. Most all external parts have been professionally plated in contrasting chrome and copper. The two aluminum end caps for the copper shade have been polished. The original porcelain heat bulb socket has been refurbished with a new porcelain medium Edison base socket. The original rotary switch has been refurbished with new like kind. The power cord has been replaced with reproduction rayon covered twisted type cord and appointed with a new vintage style plug. All internal wiring is new. A new felt has been applied to the underside of the base. This lamp accepts a standard medium Edison base light bulb. A long tube type light bulb would be ideal (refer to photo #5). An LED type bulb is recommended to minimize heat transfer to the metal shade. Light bulb is not included. Art deco lamp
This lamp has been collecting dust in my house for at least 20 years. I’m not sure of the exact age I inherited it from my parents. It’s a high quality made piece in perfect condition. Not sure where it’s made or Materials it feels like wood or maybe plaster? No labels or markings on it. Possibly an old MAITLAND SMITH? Takes a standard bulb. Lamp is 24 tall. Shade is 12 diameter. Vintage Art Deco Akro Agate Uranium Vaseline Glass Table Lamp Base Caramel Swirl
Vintage art deco akro agate uranium vaseline glass lamp base. Beautiful caramel swirl colors, 8 panel footed base. All surface clean inside and out, new wiring, new socket insulator, new old stock Leviton USA art deco plug end with new insulator disc, ready to use lighting. Base only, no shade. Displays nicely, all brass clean and polished. Damage free glass with the exception of some roughness under the brass socket mount, not damage but part of the creation process, unseen as it is under the threaded brass socket attaching collar. Also to mention is a small ding in the bottom of the socket base, unseen as it is at the underside of the socket base and does not hinder safe operation, age and use related. Original Art Deco Chrome Table Lamp with Sunray Glass Shade
Original Vintage Art Deco Table Lamp and highly complimentry Sunray Shade. This beautiful table lamp has a reeded chrome centre section with a 4 tier stepped base. Its centre section consists of a reeded (fluted) appearance on which sits a new chrome gallery. The glass shade is pink in colour and partly frosted with a sunray effect. The lamp is operated by a bakelite push switch situated on the base. The Shade has a Sunray form with clear and frosted sections very pale pink in colour but does display the sunray form when switched on. The lamp measure 17 inches tall x 5 inch diameter base x 6 inch shade width. A lovely original art deco lamp that would grace any home setting. Condition The lamp is in perfect working order and been re-wired to current standards. The chrome sections have some surface scratches and wear consistent with the age of the lamp.
