Vintage Nubian Blackamoor Continental Art Co. Chalkware Table Lamps Shades
These are a beautiful and exotic statement pieces. I haven’t seen many with the lamp shades included. Please let me know if you have any questions. These are very durable and heavy pieces. There are a few paint scuffs and one place that has a piece missing near the base. The rare hard to find lampshades are in really good condition but the lace may need replacing. These lamps can be cleaned but I left them for someone that is an expert in that area. The lamp on the right has a bit of a bend in the top of the light function. The finials have been painted 2 different colors. The fiberglass shades do not have rips, or holes. The lacing appears to be original on both shades but there are a few spots where the lacing popped. The shades are structurally very solid. You could re-lace if you wanted. These lamps could use a cleaning. Both lamps are fully functioning. I recommend you have a licensed electrician inspect them prior to long-term use. Base to top of finial is approximately 33. Base of each lamp is approximately 10.5. Vintage Chalkware Colorful Parrot Bird Table Lamp Tiki Room Hawaiiana
Lamp measures approximately 14 1/2 inches tall to the top of the socket and 5 inches wide. Shade measures approximately 8 1/4 inches across and 6 1/4 inches across. Original fabric cord measures approximately 4 feet long. Great looking vintage chalkware parrot table lamp. Parrot has great hand painted colors. Original patina has not been cleaned. Surface wear and small chips noted. The light has been tested and works properly. The fabric cord, plug and light socket are original and show fraying and damage. The shade appears to be of the same era as the lamp and compliments it nicely. The shade does show areas of damage, particularly to the wire wrapped edge. Large Vintage Mid Century Oriental/Asian Man Woman Chalkware Table Lamps/Shades
Large Pair Vintage Asian Man & Woman Table Lamps w/Shades. They were made out of chalkware and hand painted probably in the late’40s to’50s. They show their age, but have been touched up in places with none of those nasty white chips so common with vintage chalkware to be seen (one has a hairline crack in the back). Both have their original wiring and work. Cords are pliable with no cracks. They are totally safe to use (I have been using them for the past ten years and have had no problems). New felt has been placed on the bottoms so not to scratch your furniture. The fabulous original vintage shades have no tears, holes or stains and are trimmed in a gold fringe. They are topped with original brass finials. They are tall measuring 33 1/2 inches tall from top of finial to bottom of the base. Shades are 24 inches round. They display beautifully and are wonderful when lit. Perfect for that retro Mid-Century look. Please read descriptions carefully, as I try to be as thorough and up-front as possible. Vintage Chalkware Black Americana Blackamoor Gennie Lamps With Original Shades. This sale is for the 3 lamps shown in the pictures. The two larger lamps are approximately 26 tall with the shades. The small lamp is approximately 15 tall with the shade. These all have some minor paint loss and chips and some cracks in some areas. The lamps could use a good cleaning and detailing. The shades for the larger lamp shades are dirty and show wear and some minor damage. One of the metal supports on the inside has come loose from the center but does not affect how the shade sits(see the last picture) The small lamp is missing the ashtray and the shade that is on it is not original to the lamp. All 3 lamps work although the cords are brittle. I recommend that the cords and sockets be replaced for safety. No bulbs are included with the lamps. Vintage 50s Chalkware Plaster Lamps Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing pair of rare atomic era chalkware table lamps with their original accompanying fiberglass drum shades. Uncertain of the maker. Each lamp has 3-way functionality. Either one or the other of the shades can light up independently, or both can be set to light up at the same time. The on/off rotary switch is located on the side of the base on each lamp (see photos). The fiberglass shades are the characteristic beige color with black paint squiggles throughout. Measurements: With the shades attached, each lamp stands approx. 24.5″ tall x 17″ wide. The rectangular wedge-shaped base measures approx. Each of the fiberglass shades measures approx. 10″ in diameter x 5″ tall. Condition: Overall, given their age, we’d say they are in very good condition. There are, however, some minor condition issues that deserve mentioning. First, there appears to be some flaking / light chipping on the undersides of the arms where the bolts are located for screwing in the shades (see photo). Everything appears to be stable. Either way, it’s on the underside, and when the shades are attached to the lamps, you don’t really see it. Next, there are some breaks in the shade lacing and a to a few of the lacing holes (see photos for example). We’ve lived with it, and it doesn’t really detract, but again – we’re mentioning it for accuracy. One of the lamps shows some wear to the black coloration towards the bottom of the base (see photo). It can easily be touched up if it bothers you, or just left alone. There are a few other small nicks to the surface (see photo) – nothing overly objectionable whatsoever, but being mentioned. The fiberglass shades could use a gentle cleansing – there are no burns, tears, stains, creases, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully functioning, working condition. If you’d like additional specific photos, please ask and we’ll be happy to supply them. NOTE: The lamps are LARGE and FRAGILE. As such, the bases will each travel in their own separate boxes, and the shades will all travel in their own box. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. Pair Of Vintage 60s Lamps Mid Century Asian Ceramic Retro Atomic Chalkware Rare
Pair Of Vintage Pagoda Lamps Mid Century Asian Ceramic Retro. A superb set of mid century 60s Asian inspired lamps that are in fantastic condition for the age. There are no issues on the base of these lamps chords work well. The back of one of the lamps looks like it got a little white paint on the bottom. It is on the back and causes no cosmetic issue when displayed The color of the base is very beautiful as you can see from the photos cool orange and gold brushed paint job. The texture of the lamps is cool as well, no issues no cracking no chips. The shades are the best part they have little issues no burns and have a really good look to them when turned on as you can see from the photos. These have no major dents all the fabric is intact took a photo of a little area but again this is nothing serious the gold trim gives an amazing touch. In one of the shades it looks as if there was a spill at one time this does not affect the way this lamp lights up as you can see from the photo. This is just a fantastic set and the condition for the age is superb. These measure with the shades on about 31 inches high the base stands 9 inches tall the shade by itself is 20 inches tall and at its widest is 12 inches.
