This piece is a wonderful example of early to mid-20th century lusterware craftsmanship, featuring a glossy, iridescent glaze and detailed nature-inspired artwork. Stunning Hand-Painted Design: A graceful blue swallow in mid-flight surrounded by delicate wisteria and foliage wraps around the entire vase-shaped base. The brushwork and vibrant colors reflect an Asian or Art Deco influence popular in decorative ceramics from the early to mid-1900s. RARE Hand-Painted Mid-Century Asian Table Lamp VTG EXCELLENT CONDITION
This was one of the first lamps I picked up when I started, the pictures just don’t do it justice. I do have the original lamp shade; however, it isn’t in the best shape and will likely not travel well. Not a small lamp, this one’s got some girth to it. Roughly 18″ tall including light mount and 8″ wide at the largest part of the middle. Vintage roughly from the 1960′s, original electric, works great! No work done to it. Porcelain, paint, and copper.
