Vintage Gerald Thurston Table Lamp by Lightolier Mid-Century Modern Saucer Shade
Have a beauty here. An early 1950s Lightolier table lamp designed by the great Gerald Thurston. The great saucer shade is acrylic and the diffuser is glass. The shade measures 17 wide. The lamp stands 22. The glass diffuser is in excellent condition. The acrylic lamp has a few cracks shown in pictures.. The base is a vibrant yellow with some flakes around the base (pictured). The brass rings are as shiny as the day it was made! Any questions please feel free to ask. Vintage Gerald Thurston Cricket Desk Lamp RARE Avocado Green MCM Atomic Knoll
Avocado Green Gerald Thurston Cricket desk Lamp! These lamps in good condition are becoming very collectible. The lamp is in good vintage shape with some missing brass coating on original knobs and the top surface of the v-shaped base. The fiberglass shade has no cracks or chips however it has subtle discolorations on the top of the lamp from old light bulb heat. Three original-style clips have been hand-fabricated in stainless steel. After hours of research, located a company which made a custom diffuser. This Cricket is ready to plug in and enjoy! Both side screws and knobs are original and threads are not stripped however this design is top heavy on the cord side and likes to flip up. General information: I recommend placing it where you don’t need to move it a lot and always tighten screws gently. Please remember that pre-owned items have may have surface scratches and wear areas. The photos are a large part of the description.
