Vintage Green Jadite Uranium Custard Glass Bed Table Lamp PAIR RESTORED
Superb, gorgeous pair of vintage table lamps, freshly restored, rewired, and tested. There is only one minor area of chipping (pictured) which is well hidden and very un- noticeable. Aside from that, these are in excellent condition. EXTREMELY rare to find them still paired up! Yes this posting is for BOTH LAMPS TOGETHER. I will not split them up. They’ve been together all these years and that would be sad.
VTG Machine Age Modernist Art Deco Ringed Glass Cylinder Lamp c. 1935 RESTORED
Dating to the 1930′s, this unusual ringed glass lamp is a remarkable example of Machine Age modernist design. Currently referred to retro-futurist design, Buck Rogers would certainly have been proud to display this in his home. Unfortunately, there are no makers marks and I have been unable to uncover any information regarding specific provenance. This lamps has been restored and refurbished and is ready for contemporary use. Chrome metal surfaces have been cleaned and polished. The black base disc has been refinished in satin enamel. The original bulb socket has been retained and bulb contacts cleaned and polished. Wiring has been replaced with new reproduction rayon covered power cord and appointed with new vintage style plug. The frosted glass shade is in excellent condition. The black edges of the rings have been restored. The inside of the shade retains most of its original translucent painted finish and has not been further restored. Please refer to the final twp photos for shade condition detail. This lamp utilizes one standard medium (E26) Edison base light bulb. A frosted T10 type tube-shaped bulb was used in lighting for the photographs provided here. Light bulb is not included. VTG MERCOLITE Machine Age Deco Mercury Lamp c. 1930 RESTORED and CONVERTED
Offered here is a rare lamp of extreme machine age design. Manufactured in the 1930′s, this Mercolite lamp was originally a mercury vapor heat lamp. It has been professionally converted to accept a standard medium Edison base light bulb, and operates as a lamp only. The copper reflective shade provides a warm light, highlighting the streamlined base. The shade portion pivots up and down by way of a wingnut joint. This lamp is in excellent working order. Most all external parts have been professionally plated in contrasting chrome and copper. The two aluminum end caps for the copper shade have been polished. The original porcelain heat bulb socket has been refurbished with a new porcelain medium Edison base socket. The original rotary switch has been refurbished with new like kind. The power cord has been replaced with reproduction rayon covered twisted type cord and appointed with a new vintage style plug. All internal wiring is new. A new felt has been applied to the underside of the base. This lamp accepts a standard medium Edison base light bulb. A long tube type light bulb would be ideal (refer to photo #5). An LED type bulb is recommended to minimize heat transfer to the metal shade. Light bulb is not included. With stepped cups and base finial it is a bold example of American Art Deco from the machine age. I have a matching pair of arc lamps listed separately (refer to final photo). The lamp has been restored and refurbished and is ready for contemporary use. Exterior metal surfaces have been professionally refinished in triple plate chrome. Original turn switch socket has been retained and bulb contacts have been cleaned and polished.
