The detailed carving on this piece is outstanding with a figural woman, flowers, etc.. It is probably made in the U. This piece can sit in away from the wall because it looks great from all four sides. The quality is shown in that the cabriole carved legs on all 4 corners. Burl wood fluted rectangular top is fantastic. The skirt has cut through pierced work. It has a great deal of presence for a small piece. It is an extremely versatile piece of furniture. Although the original intention of this item was a bedroom piece, it could be used as a lamp table, side table, etc. It is an extremely beautiful and very well made item. This is an original piece not a later reproduction. This has an older refinished surface. Wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. We don’t charge extra for the dust.
