This early 1950s “MEMLITE” English Cast Iron & Steel desk / table lamp would have been used in a factory. As can be seen in photos works fine retaining it’s original on / off switch. It has had a new bulb holder fitted, but must be checked by a qualified person. I have had the lamp for years and have looked after it very well , it is in a lovely time used condition. Vintage 23H cast metal, ornate 8 panel carmel slag glass single socket lamp
1920-30′s cast metal with ornate filagree, single socket w pull chain, 23 H. With 19 D shade, 8 carmel slag glass panels. The lamp is in excellent condition with no obvious damage to the slag glass panels or the intricate metal lattice work. The lamp is in working condition. The lamp base was repainted On the inside bottom of the cast metal frame where each section is welded together, additional welding material was added to reinforce the joints, Even so there is some minor gaps between some of the seams. This vintage style desk lamp takes its cues from the gritty charm and tough-as-nails elegance that characterized early-20th-century industrial lighting design. Features steel articulating arms, cast iron joints, a hefty vintage style base, and reproduction twisted cloth cord. Shown with brass cone lamp shade and vintage style socket in oil-rubbed bronze finish. A classic look with new parts; everything works perfectly and safely. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. Antique valve handles have been added to the two lowest joints to make re-positioning easier. Valve handles have been cleaned and clear-coated to preserve the rustic finish. Please note that since these valve handles are antique, each with their own unique character, your handles may look slightly different–still cool, but different. The cone shade is raw brass and we leave it alone, so it will continue to age naturally and develop to the perfect patina. Ocket takes regular size bulbs, and looks great with an Edison bulb. Wiring is brand new reproduction black twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. The socket is a very high quality reproduction with a round turn-key and an aged brass finish. Everything works perfectly and safely. Two separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. These joints are the real deal: solid cast iron, built to last a lifetime. An antique valve handle has been added to the lowest joint to make repositioning a breeze. Socket takes regular size bulbs, and looks great with an Edison bulb, as pictured. Bulb is not included, but I can advise on where to get them. This lamp can also be reconfigured to mount on the wall for a small additional cost. Antique Vtg Cast Metal Table Lamp with Ridged Reverse Printed Floral Panel Shade
This is a fantastic antique arts & Crafts era table lamp with six bent ridged glass shade panels with floral designs reverse painted on each. It is in very good original condition, but there are some areas of damage; there is a repaired crack on the edge of the base that has been concealed by matching paint (shown close up on the photos), there is a crack near the top of the shade frame also shown close-up in the photos, and there is some paint loss on the glass panels. The gold finish on the lamp is original and in very good condition and the base has some fantastic details cast in high relief. Both sockets and cord have been replaced and are in very good condition, but because of the lamp’s age, all electrical components should be inspected before use. The lamp cap is missing, so the shade currently sits on top of two large metal washers with the finial screwed through the middle. The lamp measures 23″ H and the shade measures about 16″ in diameter.
