There is a reflector in the glass globe body that appears to have been lit by a separate lamp that fit into the base. That additional lamp is missing. The table lamp measures 16 inches tall to the light socket and has a maximum body width of 9-3/4 inches. The metal base measures 7 inches by 7 inches. There is no shade. Works great and looks great.
