2 ASIAN STYLE BLUE ON WHITE Vintage TABLE/DESK LAMPS Lights CHINESE Birds Floral
2 ASIAN STYLE BLUE ON WHITE Vintage TABLE/DESK LAMPS Lights CHINESE Birds Floral. A set of two (2) vintage matching Table Lamps with porcelain Blue on White Asian Style design. We are pleased to present this set of two (2) vintage Asian Style Table Lamps for your consideration. They have porcelain center sections with a Blue on White Floral and Bird design. The bases are wood and there are brass caps, heavily patined, at the top and bottom of the porcelain. We opened one up to look for identifying marks and found the porcelain to be unmarked, solid at the bottom except for an added hole, and open at the top (see pictures 9, 10, and 11). The entire assembly is held together by a tube which runs through the entire lamp and holds the cord. It is secured by a single nut on the bottom of the lamp (see picture 5). The Lamps are designed for North American 110/115/120 Volts AC service and have a standard 2 prong plug. They are switched at the bulb socket. The switch is an older style 3-way (designed for a 3-way bulb), but are backwards compatible with a 1-way (single wattage) bulb. With a 1-way bulb, the switch has a On-On-Off-Off pattern. With a 3-way bulb, it is Low-Med-High-Off. The Lamps are offered without shades, but do have the top section that the shades attach to. They measure 29 inches in total height (measured to the top of the finial on the shade bracket). The bases are 6-1/2 inches in diameter, and the two Lamps weigh 9 pounds in total. Both Lamps were tested and were in working condition. The cords show some wear, but I didn’t see any breaks in the insulation. The decorative trim on the metal caps has a few small splits, with a repair/patch on one at the bottom (see picture 8). The porcelain sections looked fine, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. We rate the condition of both Lamps as good to very good. All pictures show the actual Lamps you will receive. These are two nice decorative Lamps with attractive Asian style designs.
