ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY TABLE LAMP. Antique Victorian 19th century circa 1890 table lamp with a bronze urn and a marble base. The beautifully decorated bronze urn contains a series of highly detailed relief figures from the Greco-Roman mythology and possibly includes, but is not limited to, Hercules, Athena and Hermes along with depicting the nymphs, a satyr and a lion. The black marble base that the urn rests on includes two crimson Doric columns along with featuring a symmetrical floral pattern, which can also be seen on the urn’s decorated handles. The bronze urn and its marble base were executed at the end of the 19th century and reorganized into a table lamp at some point during the first quarter of the 20th century. The lamp measures 32″ (81 cm) tall and 6¾” (17 cm) wide weighing almost 19 pounds (8.6 kg) due to its robust construction. It includes a 8 ft (2.5 m) cord of gold color. This unique one of a kind antique lamp is in great working condition and has some light patina on the reliefs.
