Vintage Maroon Abstract Biomorphic Ceramic Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage abstract / biomorphic table lamp complete with its original accompanying shade. The lamp had one owner, and she took very good care of the lamp. Color: It is sort of a maroon / purple color to our eye – we took the photos outside which illustrate the color quite nicely. The shade is huge, and it is pleated with a cloth-like material on the top visible surface, and a plastic lining on the interior. The color of the shade matches the base. The lamp retains its original wiring and electrical Levitton socket. We were not able to find any signatures or labels on the lamp; however, we have seen these attributed to Royal Haeger. The lamp has a nice solid weight to it – it’s not flimsy by any means. It also still retains its original felt on the underside of the base. PLEASE NOTE : We have an identical matching lamp and shade that came from the same estate. We chose to list each one separately. If you are in the market for a pair, let us know. M easurements: The lamp base stands approx. 29″ tall (to the finial) x 9″ wide x 7 deep. 21 high from the bottom of the base to the light socket. The pleated shade measures approx. 24.25 in diameter across t. He bottom opening x 6 in diameter across the top opening. The shade is approx. 11 tall, and the harp attachment point is approx. 9.5 from the bottom of the shade. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all-original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are a few tiny skips in the glaze that occurred when the lamp was manufactured (see photos). They are towards the back, and they don’t detract whatsoever – we are solely mentioning them for accuracy. Aside from that, both the lamp and shade are a little dusty, and could use a gentle cleaning (more the shade than the base). The shade is free from rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring and socket are free from having any problems – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. Before long-term use, we only strongly recommend having a licensed professional check the wiring for any problems. Super Cool Vintage 50s Ceramic Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage atomic era ceramic table lamp complete with its original trapezoidal-shaped fiberglass lamp shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The ceramic base is brown in color with scattered white accents (see photos). The base also has a striated texture throughout. The fiberglass shade is beige in color, as is typical from lamps of this era, and it has black, gold and white randoms painted arcs on it throughout. The finial for the lamp is an amber colored glass ball, and we are assuming that it is original to the lamp as well. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no marks, labels, or tags present. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The ceramic alone measures approx. 14.5″ tall x 12″ wide x 5.75 deep. The shade alone measures approx. 7″ tall x 13″ wide x 8 deep. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, burn marks, etc. All of the lacing is intact. The shade shows light traces of wear that are consistent with age and use. The bottom edge of the fiberglass material shows very mild discoloration – our guess is it should come out with a gentle washing. We have not attempted to try to clean it any way as it is minor and doesn’t particularly interfere with any thing. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Vtg Pair MID Century Modern Orange Metal Table Lamps Atomic Eames Danish
VTG PAIR MID CENTURY MODERN ORANGE METAL TABLE LAMPS RETRO ATOMIC EAMES ERA? Estate find, these 2 lamps measure 24.5″ tall and the base measures 8″ across. They are a nice orange color, still very vibrant color to it and the orange surface is in very good condition. We did not see a brand name on these. The underside of one has a cardboard-like base insert piece; the other does not have this piece and the wires are exposed (see photos). The brass metal trim and finials are all tarnished – the finial screw has a little wobble to it from age. Both have the finials. Both appear to have the original cords and wiring. The lamps turn on and off with a small round rotary knob switch on the base of the lamps… Both bulbs turn on at the same time, and there is not an option with the switch to just have one bulb on at a time. Vintage Atomic Mid Century Modern Beehive Tripod Table Lamp AQUA Shade
Vintage Atomic Mid Century Modern Beehive Tripod Table Lamp AQUA Shade. Lamp measures 12 inches in height. Measurement taken from bottom of tripod wooden legs to top of plastic aqua shade. Measures 16 circumference around widest point. CONDITION: Very light tarnish on gold toned metal tripod lamp holder. Light shadow stain on shade as seen in photo 7 and oxidation stain on bottom of plastic where it sits in metal holder. See photos 4 and 5. One of the wooden leg covers must have been missing and original owner made a make shift wooden copy which serves the purpose. It does have a crack in the wood (see last 2 photos). All in all, it still displays well. I did not clean. Will leave that up to new owner. Very nice piece of mid century decor. Working, light-up condition with turn style switch. The Shade is made from spun Fiberglass and is in very good condition. No damage to it at all. The cord is in good condition. The ceramic part of the lamp has 1 chip in the back, you can see it in the picture. It is just on the surface and does not affect the lamp at all. Other than that it is in very good condition. This lamp features 2 night light bulbs on the stand. I could not get these to work. May need the sockets replaced or you may be ok with them not working. I call this a Cobra lamp because one side of the lamp stand looks like it has a Snake skin pattern. This is a very beautiful impressive lamp from the 50′s! Please look through all the pictures to get a better idea of condition. Items may have lite surface scratches from use that are normal for it’s age.
