Vintage Mid Century Modern SightLight Flying Saucer Desk Lamp, M G Wheeler FX244

This SightLight “flying saucer” desk lamp is a recent estate sale find and is in working condition. The lamp easily pivots a full 360 degrees around the heavy steel 9 1/2 square base. The underside of the base has a full sized felt pad designed to protect the table top. The lamp has a height of about 14″, the cap is about 11 3/4″ in diameter, and the arm is about 12 long. Other than the base, the lamp is constructed of aluminum. The silvertone parts seen in the photos are the polished or brushed aluminum finish. The greentone parts have a dark green painted finish. The paint has been rubbed in a number of areas along the edges of the base and cap. The light bulb shown in the photos is included but is not guaranteed. The base is secured to the arm by a single bolt as seen in the photos. It will need to be reattached by the purchaser.
