My house is populated with various items designed by Paul M. They are quite uncommon. Designed by McCobb in 1957 for the Distinguished Designer Series for Pomona Manufacturing Company. Was one of many designers who participated. It is an interesting read, actually, if you have the time. They also included custom triangular shades that matched the shape of the base (google if curious). I tried a few other shades on this and the best I found was a wide, narrow, white linen shade. It looked petty darn good. The base is made out of solid walnut and is substantial. Overall I would say the condition is very good. Tiles are perfect, Walnut is overall in very good condition (see photos). A few areas are darker? Walnut does stain pretty easily. Easily repaired but as you can see pretty minimal. The gilt crosses are also in very good vintage condition. Some spotting but as you can see pretty sweet. There is no harp or finial. You’ll have to come up with something. This is a very uncommon lamp in excellent vintage condition. With a little creativity you are going to own an important piece of 20th century design. DIMENSIONS – To top of wood base = 25.
