We are offering a pair of gorgeous slick high gloss Blue Mid Century blue elongated neck vase form table lamps with incredible shades! Best pair of Mid Century lamps we have ever had the opportunity to sell. The blue is a rich deep color with a mild slip/ drip? Glaze differation of color where the neck becomes bulbous. The shades are to die for! Features orbs and or bubbles in a great combination of 3 shades of blue, dark pink, plum, olive, etc.. Please take a look. The shades look like smooth canisters. We tested the lamps with a 75 watt bulb. The shades keep the light to a minimal glow, meant for mood lighting, so common of the Mid century era! The lamps measure approx. 49.5 high, overall, with the shades. Each shade measures approx. 22″ High x 15″ at top and 16 at the bottom, with a very gradual increase. 28 from the metal base to the top of the blue vase base. The blue vases sit on gold gilt metal bases, with great age related patination. Looks like wood, we were surprised to find out they were metal when we turned them over. Ceramic/pottery is in excellent condition, Shades are excellent on the outside, some wear and frey along the edges of the fabric and some bends inside on the paper backing, which is not seen on the front. Because they are so old, one of the shades sits a little bit higher on the harps. In no way does this take away from the desirability of this incredible pair of lamps! Due to the age of the cord, we suggest having the lamps re-wired, although they still work fine. The cords are a little bit hardened. We may be able to re-wire them for you. There are a few companies that we have the utmost confidence in who can deliver this item to you. We would only recommend antique blanket wrapped furniture shippers for this particular piece.
