Vintage 70s Chrome Mushroom Table Lamp. Atomic Space Age design. Sonneman designed a lamp similar to this for Ikea back in the 80s with 2 columns. Could be a Sonneman or Kovacs lamp. Entire lamp is made of metal. Bottom weighted base is plastic. Some surface wear from age and use, but overall good condition. A very cool desk lamp! For Sale Pair Vintage Mid Century Robert Sonneman Kovacs Style Chrome Globe Eye Ball Table Lamps. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about mid century lamps. I don’t think it is Laurel. The ball joint is wrong. I don’t think they are Lightolier, the bell is different. I give it a decent shot that these are Kovacs. But can’t be sure. There is a 20% chance they are Italian. They are GREAT LAMPS. No corners were cut making these. I love how they look. Just the right height. I love the tilt of the stand. I love the ball joint. I cleaned the inside of one of the bells (pictured). Someone had obviously put in too strong a bulb at some point. It was really easy. I didn’t clean the other but will do so if requested. You’ll never see the inside as most bulbs will block the view. Just a tremendous pair of chrome mid century lamps. You won’t find better. DIMENSIONS – Total Height = Approx. Ball width = approx. For Sale Vintage Mid Century Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs Chrome Eyeball Table. I have seen other examples of this very lamp, mostly more contemporary. This is a desirable older version these were made for a while. Maybe are still being made. Has the non-grounded plug. The felting on the bottom is obviously vintage. Maybe from the 1960′s? In overall really good condition. One rub on the bell. I just noticed that there is a push on the bell as well. I never noticed it. VERY SHALLOW but could probably be pushed out if you desired. Otherwise really shiny and wonderful. This is just a great looking lamp. Few small table lamps are better looking. DIMENSIONS – Total height = 15 tall.
