Original cord with on off switch. Light can turn on by switch near bulb, or switch on cord. (I recommend replacing cording, as it is very old). If lamp doesn’t turn on, check wire closest to plug. I saw was online Quoilzel would had a stamp or black Felt with sticker said Quoilzel on bottom of lamp. Lamp missing the felt it might been on. Means no way to Prove it if original. I will say the shape of lamp with two bulb is design they used. Lamp base very heavy too. I don’t know my metal can’t say made out of. The wire might been replaced look at pictures. Loved lion claw legs on its design. Bottom of one corner of stand has a scratch. Item is used might show age, wear, and dust. Glass might need cleaning. I noticed small paint dots on glass. Very fine white dot easy come off. Tried to clean them off, but there still there. I don’t clean for reason I might damage the item. I will being sending two packages. Yes, the base is 8 pounds its self not safe with glass. Trust me it’s beautiful colored pictures can be off. Showed with two colors and light on and off. Antique, High-Victorian era lamp table with very ornate barley twist legs and supports and ball in claw feet. I don’t know if this is cherry or mahogany. It could be either hardwood. Came out of an old estate in Florida. I was told it did have some repairs done by a master woodworker years ago. All barley twist is all original. I think the ball details along the top underside may have been replaced but it is not even discernable. Whoever did the restoration was expert. If this was all original, never touched it would be a thousand dollars. I was told that this is a Merklen Brothers table. Condition: A few scratches on top. There is one crack that was glued on the bottom, on one of the barley twist cross braces. The table measures approx 24 x 24 and 31 tall.
