Antique, High-Victorian era lamp table with very ornate barley twist legs and supports and ball in claw feet. I don’t know if this is cherry or mahogany. It could be either hardwood. Came out of an old estate in Florida. I was told it did have some repairs done by a master woodworker years ago. All barley twist is all original. I think the ball details along the top underside may have been replaced but it is not even discernable. Whoever did the restoration was expert. If this was all original, never touched it would be a thousand dollars. I was told that this is a Merklen Brothers table. Condition: A few scratches on top. There is one crack that was glued on the bottom, on one of the barley twist cross braces. The table measures approx 24 x 24 and 31 tall. Each is marked with a red and gold sticker “Fine Seyei China; Nagoya, Japan”. They are beautiful with no chips or scratches. Metal bases and top have wear with a light brown showing through in areas. While they are in working condition, the cords are loose and separating and will need to be rewired. Bottom does NOT light up, but could be re-wired to do so. Height from bottom of lamp to top of socket: 15. Height including harp & finial: 22. Includes harp & finial. The wiring is original and the lamp works well. The wiring is loose near the plug.
