RARE Art Deco Lamp Peacock Gold Czechoslovakia Porcelain Vase Asian Dual Socket
RARE Art Deco Lamp Peacock Gold Black Czechoslovakia Porcelain Vase 1920′s to 1930′s. 22 tall and weighs almost 7lbs. Both lights have the original pull chain. In overall excellent condition. No chips or cracks on the porcelain body. The porcelain vase/body is stamped on the bottom with Czechoslovakia, but not in the modern English spelling. It has the original wiring, but due to damage and exposed wires, I cut the wires at the base. Lamp does need to be rewired which is easily done. The original cored has a bakelite plug. Another rare find, to have the original cord. The peacock is very rare, most of these were painted with a pheasant. The base is heavy duty, I believe it is aluminum that has been painted with a gold paint. The metal on the base and neck is in great condition for the age. Condition as shown in the pictures. This is a heavier piece since it’s made from spelter. Indeterminate on the maker as there are no markings other than an 800 on the very bottom. Nice lamp for age. There may be fading on the black and some dust and light dirt but should clean up beautifully. Dual socket works fine with pull chains. As is and as shown. Please look through all pictures. This is a beautiful piece. In very nice antique condition. Looks to have been painted gold by someone but I’m not 100 percent sure. Has the dual light cluster.. Some rust on the cluster arms. Measures approximately 27 tall total height. Base is approximately 7 diameter. Has paint missing in spots, was painted at least twice from what I can see under the base but it’s so cool as it stands. Put on a capper and a stained glass shade or one of those fringed shades, this lamp will pull off that Victorian vibe. Vintage Large MCM Danish Modern Eames? Walnut Table Lamp (3 way socket). 33.5 to top of socket. 42 to top of harp. 11.5 across body. Pre-owned and working perfectly. Original cord seems to be in good/safe repair. Great vintage piece in better than expected condition showing only minor signs of use, wear or age except for one leg which is broken/repaired in 3 places (see pictures). Can be better repaired by the new owner or just left alone. No bulb or shade included. 3-way bulb used for testing was a 50-100-150. Other bulbs will work but not correctly. The damaged leg is best seen in the picture with red arrows highlighting the repairs. Perfect for any mid century / Danish modern setting! Would look great with the right fiberglass shade.
