Please see all photos for condition. This beautiful lady is 18. The Lamp with the Shade is 32 tall. Please note, there is a stain on the shade, see close up picture. I do not see any nicks, cracks, or brakes. The Lady is signed W. The front plaque says JSL Collection. The wooden base that the plaque is on has some wear. The lamp does work. I have it turned on in the pictures. DOES NOT COME WITH LIGHT BULB. I ran out of room for photos. If you would like more pictures, please message me and I will send you others.
VINTAGE Tiffany style PINK GLASS table LAMP glass beaded fringe METAL BASE 21 h
Pink stained glass shade/ tulip shaped. Metal base/ bronze color finish. Footed with high relief design. Electric cord plug in. Takes standard base size bulb. 21 high overall to top of final. Victorian Crescent Moon Lamp Shade &Art Nouveau Base HAND SEWN Beaded Fringe vtg
Here is a stunning Victorian style, crescent moon-shaped lamp shade on an antique, Art Nouveau lamp base. I made this lamp shade by hand. It was made with emerald green satin fabric and fine netting with embroidery and beads. It has purple fringe as well as green and pale pink triangular/crescent moon-shaped beaded fringe and long strands of beads at either end. It has lilac and gold trim, as well as antique gold metal trim with thin ribbons weaved through. Pain staking detail and many hours of work have gone into creating this one of a kind lamp shade. It is hand sewn; each layer of fabric/lace is individually sewn on, as well as each layer of fringe. The shade measures just over 10 wide. It’s the perfect size for a table or boudoir lamp. Vntg Dramatic Fabric Lampshade with Bold Psychedelic Rainbow Glass Beads Fringe
I started making antique reproduction lampshades in 1980 when I saw some gorgeous shades at Tiffany Designs in North Hollywood… And then found a source for the frames. I was quickly swept up into the pleasure of creating wonderful lighting with fabrics and fringe. Then I bagged up what was still on hand and put them away until now. This lampshade was made in the winter of 1987 when I was in the mood for bright bold color. It is not the least bit subtle – a dramatic option and glows especially in the evening. The frame is a version of the “Open Tulip”. 17″ wide and 12 1/2″ high. The frame is wrapped with bias tape and lined with white polyester. There is extra wrapping along the bottom edge to support the beaded fringe which is directly attached. The main panels are a polyester flower print of bright primary colors alternating with smaller black velvet insets. Everything is hand-stitched – no glue. Stitching is obvious when you look at the underside. The beaded fringe is hand-strung directly from the frame. 600 strands of about 60 size 8 transparent glass seed beads in each 4 1/2 strand of black, aqua, green, yellow, orange, red and blue with alternating dark blue transparent glass tear drops at the end. The shade has considerable weight because of the beads. I was surprised to find staining on on the underside. I have actually forgotten when this happened but I do know that I sometimes jabbed my fingers with the sharp needles and bled. I can’t imagine leaving so much visible and can only surmise that the stains slowly spread out over the years. There is one other thing I must mention. In the lining of one of the large panels is a small puncture. Again I don’t know when or how this came about… It seems like a strange place to have a bit of damage, but thirty-one years can have consequences. This is only visible when looking at the underneath.
