Atlantic Mold Electric Candle Demo. Video will open in a new window. According to Atlantic Mold’s website, the drip-saucer base mold was destroyed in 2001 when they went out of business. A few companies acquired most of Atlantic Mold’s molds, but the base mold was destroyed. The’candle’ portion of this piece is stamped’Atlantic Mold’ near the bottom but there is no part number (the base suggests it is part A477). I searched the entirety of Atlantic Mold’s catalog for this piece and it is nowhere to be found. I’m assuming it was produced in the 60′s and the mold was discontinued and destroyed. The flickering candle measures approximately 16 tall. The base sits on the cord and is not entirely even. It won’t fall over, but the base will wobble if bumped. Attached to the cord is an on/off switch for ease of use. This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of Christmas history!
