Antique ART NOUVEAU Cut Crystal Lamp 24KT Gold Plated over Brass Vintage Lamps. Prior research resulted in no findings of this particular lamp, which leads us to believe it is a rare find! UPDATE: We have learned more about this lamp since original posting. Someone has same lamps with sticker attached. The sticker reads: Hamilton Sterling, Inc. Decorative Accessories, 24KT GoldPlated, Warranted Untarnishable. Also, we have narrowed the age to 49 years or older. Art Nouveau Cut Crystal Lamp! This lamp definitely demands a certain presence in the room! Just the thump of a finger to the crystal shade makes a beautiful ring! This is a tall tabletop lamp with beautiful cut crystal shade and 24kt gold plate over brass base. The dome shaped top features a heavy bowl that holds the socket and is adorned with a brass rim that brings the bowl and shade together to form what looks to be one solid piece… When lit at night, it is absolutely stunning! The shade and bowl feature many patterns but the hobstar and crosshatch patterns are easily recognizable, as well as the deep cuts that separate the patterns. Shade has a pineapple shaped finial. Below the bowl sits a brass plate from which glass prisms (some are missing) dangle. The base/neck is 24kt gold plate over brass with raised carving and is slim near the top but flares near the bottom. The electrical cord and other electrical components are made by Heyco and/or Leviton. The on/off switch has to be jiggled just a little for the light to come on but light does stay on once cord is in stationary position. There are some missing prisms… Could be easily replaced. Otherwise, the lamp itself is in mint condition. Measurements: 25 1/2″ tall with shade 18 7/8″ tall w/o shade 7 3/4″ in diameter at base 29″ round at gilt metal rim.
